The Hall on the Hill
Who keeps this place, what it is for, and what it will never be.
Dunmorrow is a small website that hosts free social games for adults. The name leans on dĂșn, the Irish word for a fort, and on the old idea of a gathering place on high ground where people came to hear stories. We present three slot-style games as tales from the Irish and Norse past, a nod to the Norse settlers who founded Dublin, and add a little lore to each so the play has some colour around it.
What the hall is not
It is not a gambling website. No money is taken in or handed out, nothing can be staked, and every credit in every tale is invented. Credits cannot be purchased, withdrawn or swapped for cash, goods or services. You will find no accounts here, no wallets, no loyalty schemes and no prizes.
Slot-style games usually shout. We wanted ours to tell a story instead.
Why tell the games as tales?
Framing each game as a chapter in a saga book lets us explain its theme and its mechanics in plain language, so you know what you are looking at before you press spin. A shark collector, a nudging reel or a climbing multiplier is easier to enjoy, and easier to walk away from, when you understand that it is decoration on a free game and nothing more.
Whose games these are
We did not build the games. Each is a demo edition from an outside studio, its third-party developer, framed on our pages so it can be tried at no cost. Our part was choosing them, renaming them and writing every word you read around them. The games themselves, with their artwork, sound and in-game credits, run from the developer’s servers, and the original names and trademarks are the developer’s.
Who should come in
Grown-ups of 18 and up looking for a few minutes of light amusement. The hall is not for children, and it is not for anyone who struggles to put down gambling, or games that resemble it. If that describes you or someone you love, please start with our Play safely page.
How we keep it honest
- The free-play rules sit on every page in plain sight, not buried in the terms.
- With no accounts, we hold no player profiles and no record of your play.
- Ad and analytics tags stay off unless you agree; the cookie policy explains how.
- Irish help services appear at the foot of each page, wherever you are on the site.
