Cookie policy
An honest account of what this site keeps in your browser.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Cookies, and their close cousin local storage, are scraps of information a website leaves in your browser. Below is an exact account of what Dunmorrow leaves (very little) and how to change your answer.
I. What the hall keeps today
Right now our own script keeps just two preferences, and both live in local storage rather than in cookies:
| Key | Job | Kind | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
dunmorrow-age | Notes that you said yes at the door (18 or over) | Local storage, essential | Until you clear it |
dunmorrow-consent | Notes whether you accepted or turned down optional cookies | Local storage, essential | Until you clear it |
Neither note leaves your device, and neither is used to follow you around the web.
II. Ads and analytics
Dunmorrow runs no ad or analytics tag without your say-so. Before any other code loads, each page sets Google’s consent mode to “denied” for advertising and analytics storage. “Accept all” flips those signals to “granted”; “Reject non-essential” leaves them at “denied”.
As this page is written, the hall has no ad or analytics tools installed at all, so pressing “Accept all” adds no cookies today. Should such tools ever arrive, they will obey your choice, and they will be named here before they go live.
III. The games in their frames
Every tale loads in a frame from its third-party developer’s servers, and the game may store cookies or play data of its own on your device, such as sound settings or where a session stood. That storage is the developer’s, not Dunmorrow’s, and its policies apply. Clearing site data in your browser removes it whenever you wish.
IV. Typefaces
Cormorant and Karla are served by Google Fonts. Fetching them means a request to Google’s servers, which can see your IP address; Dunmorrow sets no cookie through this.
V. Changing your answer
The cookie banner comes back whenever you press “Cookie settings” at the foot of a page, or this button here:
Clearing cookies and local storage in your browser works too, after which the hall will ask your age and your cookie preference afresh.
VI. Questions
